How is Christ like the Ark?

“For the Son of Man is come to save that which was lost.”
MATTHEW 18:11

As God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ is like the Ark - He came to seek and save that which was lost. Just as Noah and his family were saved by the Ark, rescued by God from the Flood waters below, so anyone who believes in Jesus as Lord and Savior will be spared from the coming final judgment of mankind, rescued by God from the fire that will destroy the earth after the Last Days.

Noah and his family had to go through a doorway into the Ark to be saved. So we too have to go through a “doorway” to be saved so we won’t be eternally separated from God. The Son of God, Jesus, stepped into history to pay the penalty for our sin of rebellion. Jesus said, in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in , he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture”

I never thought of the likeness between salvation and the ark. Thank you for that post.

Zac,
That is a wonderful comparison! Throughout the Old Testament God gave pictures of the coming Christ. He is so good!
